World Bamboo Day 2025 Celebrated in Agartala

NEBT News Desk, Agartala, 18th September: The state today observed World Bamboo Day 2025 with a grand programme at Pragna Bhawan, Hall No-I, Gurkhabosti, Agartala. The event was inaugurated by Santana Chakma, Minister for Industries and Commerce, in the presence of Animesh Debbarma, Minister for Forest. The celebration highlighted the importance of bamboo as a sustainable resource and its vast potential in boosting both the state’s economy and environment. Dignitaries, officials, and stakeholders from various sectors participated in the programme, underlining bamboo’s role in rural livelihood, industry, and ecological balance. The ministers also emphasized the government’s commitment towards promoting bamboo-based industries and encouraging innovation in bamboo utilization for economic growth and environmental sustainability.
