Woman Found Dead on Railway Track Near Sadhu Tilla; Police Launch Probe

NEBT News Desk, Agartala, 13th September: In a shocking incident early this morning, the charred body of a woman was recovered from the railway track under the Sadhu Tilla rail bridge, on the outskirts of the capital city. Police from East Agartala Police Station rushed to the spot along with a dog squad and forensic team. The deceased has been identified as Geeta Sutradhar, aged around 27 years. According to reports, Geeta’s husband, who worked as a laborer with ONGC, died in an accident on September 9. Today was supposed to be his shraddha ceremony, but before that, the sudden death of his wife has sparked widespread sensation in the area. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and have taken Geeta’s father-in-law and brother-in-law to the police station for questioning. East Agartala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Subrata Debnath confirmed the investigation is underway.
