VHP and Bajrang Dal Volunteers Collect Abandoned Idols, Perform Respectful Immersion at Dashamighat

Agartala, Oct 9 — In a joint initiative, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal organized a drive to collect abandoned idols of Hindu deities left by the roadside after recent festivals and carried out a respectful immersion ceremony at Dashamighat. The initiative aimed to uphold religious sentiments and promote awareness about the proper and dignified immersion of idols following worship. During the event, VHP and Bajrang Dal volunteers urged devotees to ensure that all idols used in future pujas are immersed with due respect and reverence, rather than being discarded in public places. Among those present in the noble effort were Vicky Biswas, Akash Dey, Sagnik Deb, Souvik Deb, Shivam Deb, and several other dedicated volunteers. The initiative has been widely appreciated by local residents for preserving the sanctity of religious traditions and promoting environmental responsibility.
