Unity Promo Fest 2025 Spreads Message of Peace, Harmony, and Unity: CM Government Prioritizing Tourism for Economic Growth, Says Dr. Manik Saha

Agartala, November 8, 2025: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said that the Unity Promo Fest is not merely a cultural celebration but a reflection of peace, harmony, and unity among the people of Tripura. The Chief Minister made these remarks while inaugurating the Unity Promo Fest – 2025 and Shishu Udyan at Narkelkunja in Dumboor, Dhalai district. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and several dignitaries were present at the event organized by the Tourism Department. Dr. Saha expressed his delight over the growing popularity of the festival, noting that the event is being organized for two days this year instead of one, as it was last year. “The Tourism Department has taken the right decision at the right time. Unity Promo Fest is not just a cultural program—it carries a message of peace, harmony, and unity,” he said. Highlighting the state’s cultural diversity, the Chief Minister said, “Tripura is home to about 19 ethnic communities. People from various castes and tribes coexist here, and the government is committed to preserving this harmony.” He further mentioned that the state government is giving special attention to the development of tourism, organizing mega events across six major locations to promote the sector. “This journey has begun from Narkelkunja today. Many people in Tripura are not fully aware of the beauty of their own state. We must explore, understand, and promote Tripura to achieve economic prosperity,” Dr. Saha added. Among the dignitaries present were Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Dhalai District President Sushmita Das, MLAs Ranjit Das, Nandita Riang, and Sanjay Manik Tripura, Chairman of Dambur Nagar RD Block Prem Sadhan Tripura, Tourism Secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma, Dhalai District Magistrate Vivek H.B., Superintendent of Police Mihir Lal Das, and Tourism Director Prashant Badal Negi.
