Truck Rams into Roadside Stalls in Kailashahar, Sparks Tension in the Area

Kailashahar, October 7, 2025: Tension gripped the area near the shopping complex under Kailashahar Municipal Council on Tuesday morning after a rod-laden truck rammed into roadside stalls. According to reports, a truck bearing registration number WB65E2286, loaded with iron rods, lost control while taking a turn. The accident occurred when the vehicle’s wheel slipped over a weak drain slab, causing it to veer off and crash directly into nearby shop stalls, resulting in significant damage. Upon receiving the news, Kailashahar Municipal Council Chairperson Chapla Rani Debroy, Ward No. 13 Councillor Siddhartha Roy, and other officials rushed to the spot to assess the situation. Police from Kailashahar Police Station also arrived and began an investigation into the incident. As of now, neither the driver nor the vehicle has been detained. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the mishap.
