Tripura Signs Historic MoU with AIIMS New Delhi to Transform State’s Medical Infrastructure

Agartala, Oct 15: In a landmark step toward revolutionizing healthcare and medical education in Tripura, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, and AIIMS New Delhi. The collaboration aims to develop the state’s Medical Colleges and Hospitals into centers of excellence in medical education and super-specialty healthcare services, aligning with international standards. Under this partnership, the Tripura Government envisions transforming Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital into a modern medical hub equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for patient care, modeled on the excellence of AIIMS, New Delhi. This initiative marks a proud moment for Tripura, as it will bring world-class medical facilities and advanced healthcare services closer to the people, strengthening the state’s commitment to ensuring quality and accessible healthcare for all.
