Tripura Seeks Boost in Healthcare Infrastructure: Key Initiatives Discussed with Union Health Minister JP Nadda

Agartala, New Delhi – In a significant move to strengthen healthcare services in Tripura, senior state officials met Hon’ble Union Health Minister and National President of BJP, Shri JP Nadda, in New Delhi today. During the meeting, several key healthcare initiatives were discussed, including: Setting up a Medical College at Kulai, Dhalai (an Aspirational District) on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis. Establishment of a Tertiary Ophthalmology Hospital in Agartala to improve eye care services. Development of an Immunology Laboratory for Organ Transplant services at AGMC & GBP Hospital. Allocation of funds for advanced medical instruments at the Super Speciality Block, AGMC. Additional funding for Ayushman Bharat PMJAY to settle pending claims and enhance healthcare delivery. Officials highlighted that these initiatives aim to improve medical infrastructure, provide advanced healthcare services, and ensure timely treatment for patients across Tripura. Shri JP Nadda assured support for these proposals, emphasizing the central government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare facilities in the northeastern states.
