Tripura Police Intensifies Anti-Drug Operations: Massive Seizures and Multiple Arrests in 10 Days

Agartala, October 18: In a major crackdown against narcotics, Tripura Police, in close coordination with intelligence agencies, has intensified its anti-drug operations over the past 10 days, leading to significant seizures and multiple arrests across the state. According to official data, law enforcement authorities have recovered the following during the period: 👉 Ganja: 896 kg 👉 Cough Syrup Bottles: 90,617 units 👉 Yaba Tablets: 180 pieces 👉 Heroin: 27.78 grams A total of 15 NDPS cases have been registered, and 16 accused persons have been arrested in connection with these cases. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha lauded the police and enforcement agencies for their relentless efforts and reiterated the government’s commitment to make Tripura free from the menace of drugs. Tripura Police is determined to free the state from the curse of drugs and bring all key masterminds under the ambit of law. Our government follows a ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy towards narcotics and is working steadfastly to ensure a drug-free future for our youth,” the Chief Minister stated on social media.
