Tripura Police Destroy Over 59,000 Bottles of Banned Cough Syrup in Major Anti-Narcotics Action

Agartala: In a significant boost to Tripura’s ongoing battle against narcotics, the state police on Tuesday destroyed 59,070 bottles of banned Eskuf Cough Syrup. The disposal was carried out under the supervision of the High-Level Drug Disposal Committee (HLDDC), following directives from the Hon’ble Special NDPS Court. The seized contraband, linked to Ambassa Police Station Case No. 20/25, holds an estimated market value of ₹1.24 crore. Chief Minister stated that this action marks a major victory in the state’s commitment to curb the drug menace and ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens. Authorities reiterated that Tripura Police will continue its strict enforcement drives and intelligence-based operations to eradicate illegal drug networks from the state.
