Tripura CM Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Democracy and Human Rights

Agartala, Dec 10: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the importance of strengthening all four pillars of democracy—Legislature, Executive, Judiciary, and Media—to safeguard and promote human rights in the country. Speaking at the observance of International Human Rights Day organized by the Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC) at Prajna Bhavan, Agartala, the Chief Minister highlighted the unwavering commitment of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi towards protecting the rights of every citizen. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, continuous efforts are being made to ensure justice, dignity, and equal opportunities for all sections of society. “Our government remains deeply sensitive and dedicated to upholding human rights and ensuring that democratic institutions grow stronger and more accountable,” Dr. Saha added. The event witnessed the participation of officials, representatives, and members of civil society, reaffirming the collective resolve to safeguard human rights and promote a just and inclusive society.
