Tightened Security Across City for Maa’s Departure, Special Arrangements in Place

Agartala, October 3, 2025: Tomorrow marks the occasion of Maa’s departure. On this grand occasion, processions, idol immersion, and various rituals will draw large crowds to the ghats and main roads of the city. To handle the situation, the administration and police have taken special security measures. The West District Traffic SP stated that additional police personnel have been deployed across the city. CCTV surveillance, drone cameras, and a special traffic control room have been arranged at the immersion ghats. Patrolling has also been intensified to manage crowd control. He further added that strict monitoring will be ensured so that vehicular movement is not disrupted. During the idol immersion on designated routes, temporary traffic diversions will be implemented. He urged the public to maintain discipline and extend cooperation with the administration. Although a festive atmosphere prevails in the city on the occasion of Maa’s departure, the authorities expect the celebrations to conclude smoothly under the strict security arrangements.
