Secret Operation in Manuya Hill Forest Jatrapur Police Destroy 15,000 Cannabis Plants
In a major anti-narcotics operation, Jatrapur Police and BOP units jointly launched a secret raid in the dense forests of Manuya Hill in Bhanipur. Before dawn on Thursday, a special team of 45 personnel moved towards the forest for the operation. The team was led by OC Siti Konto Bardhan, Kaia Tilla BOP Commandant Sanjoy Halder, and New Nidyarkamani Commandant Dipankar Saha. According to sources, large cannabis plantations were being cultivated secretly across five separate plots deep inside the forest. After a continuous two-and-a-half-hour operation, the team cut down and burned a total of 15,000 cannabis plants, completely destroying the illegal crop. The team returned to the police station around 9 AM. Authorities said that consistent strict action against drug networks has led to repeated successes in the Jatrapur police station area. Speaking about the operation, OC Siti Konto Bardhan stated, “Our fight against drugs will not stop. More large-scale operations are coming soon to protect the future of our people.” SI Pritam Dutta, SI Kafur Rai Debbarma, Amar Kishore Debbarma, along with other police personnel and TSR jawans, also participated in the operation.
