‘Sakham’ SHG Sets Example of Self-Reliance in Tripura

Amarpur, October 13: A shining example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ has been set by the ‘Sakham’ Self Help Group (SHG) under Amarpur RD Block. Formed by five specially-abled members, this exceptional SHG has been producing beautiful earthen lamps (diyas) after receiving financial assistance of ₹50,000 from the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM). The initiative has brought not only financial stability but also a ray of happiness to their families. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha has extended his best wishes for the continued success of the ‘Sakham’ SHG. He also urged people to support local artisans by purchasing locally made products during the upcoming Diwali festival.
