Priests Explain the Significance of Kumari Puja at Indranagar Kali Temple

Agartala, Tuesday: After the sacred Kumari Puja ritual was performed at the Indranagar Kali Temple, priests Tanmoy Chakraborty and Jayanta Chakraborty elaborated on the spiritual significance of the ceremony. They explained that the worship of the Kumari Maa, or the virgin goddess, symbolizes the divine feminine energy — a living embodiment of purity, strength, and divinity. The ritual is performed to honor the power of Goddess Durga in her youthful form and to invoke blessings for peace, prosperity, and protection from evil forces. Devotees gathered in large numbers at the temple to witness the ritual, marking one of the most sacred moments of the ongoing Kali Puja celebrations in Agartala.
