Preparatory Meeting Ahead of Durga Puja at Madhupur Police Station

NEBT News Desk Agartala, 10th September A preparatory meeting was held at Madhupur Police Station on Wednesday with club leaders, social organizations, and Barowari Puja committees ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations. The meeting was attended by SDPO Bishalgarh, Bikas Senthiya, local MLA Antara Sarkar Deb, Madhupur Police Station OC Debjit Chatterjee, Power Corporation Officer-in-Charge Mithun Bhumik, Madhupur Bazaar Committee President Jahar Saha, Deeptanu Das, and several other dignitaries. During the meeting, OC Debjit Chatterjee discussed Puja preparations along with related legal issues. SDPO Bikas Senthiya emphasized that no one would be allowed to collect donations forcibly or stop vehicles for such purposes. He also urged organizers to ensure compliance regarding idol height, sound pollution, and the prevention of substance abuse. Addressing the gathering, MLA Antara Sarkar Deb highlighted that Madhupur is a border area, and attempts could be made to create communal disturbances during the festival. She called upon clubs and Puja committees to remain vigilant and ensure that Durga Puja, the greatest festival of Bengalis, is celebrated harmoniously, rising above caste and community differences so that everyone can enjoy the festivities together.
