Police Seize Large Quantity of Foreign Liquor in Khowai, One Arrested

NEBT News Desk, Khowai, 14th September 2025: In a major crackdown on illegal liquor trade, police seized a large quantity of foreign liquor and arrested one person from Samatal Padmabil area of Khowai this afternoon. Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Women’s Police Station raided the residence of Dipan Das around 3 PM today. During the raid, police recovered 52 bottles of foreign liquor of various brands. The accused, identified as Dipan Das, has been detained for illegal possession and trade of foreign liquor. Speaking on the operation, Women’s Police Station OC Mina Debbarma said that the drive against illegal liquor trade will continue in the coming days.
