New Political Chapter Unfolds in Tribal Heartland as Takarchhara Mandal Office Inaugurated
Sepahijala, Wednesday: A new chapter of political empowerment and development began in the tribal-dominated areas of Tripura with the inauguration of the 12-Takarchhara Mandal Office under North Jampuijala in Sepahijala district. The auspicious event was attended by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, Tribal Welfare and Education Minister Bikash Debbarma, Mandal President Nirmal Debbarma, and several senior BJP leaders. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is continuously working for the socio-economic upliftment of tribal communities. Both the Centre and the State are taking coordinated steps to strengthen education, healthcare, connectivity, and employment opportunities.” Minister Bikash Debbarma, in his speech, asserted that no one can stop the development of tribal people now. In the past, CPI(M)’s politics of terror and fear hindered progress in tribal regions. But today, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Saha, people are moving from darkness to light,” he said. He also announced that on October 24, a mega public rally and mass joining programme will be held at Mungiyakami Bazaar under the 29-Krishnapur Assembly constituency, where over 5,000 people from the tribal community are expected to join the BJP, expressing faith in the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. The inauguration event at Takarchhara Mandal office was celebrated in a festive spirit, with a large turnout of locals from nearby tribal areas. Many attendees expressed that the BJP’s focus on welfare and development schemes has inspired them to join the party. During the ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Saha personally inaugurated the new office and assured the public: Ensuring basic amenities, promoting education, and improving healthcare in remote tribal areas are our top priorities. The state government is committed to taking development to every corner of people’s lives.” Political observers noted that the Takarchhara region, once considered a CPI(M) stronghold, has now emerged as a symbol of trust in the BJP’s development-driven governance. Marking a major political shift, 216 families from various political parties formally joined the BJP, accepting the party flag from Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, and Minister Bikash Debbarma. The resounding slogan of the day echoed through the crowd— “Bharat on the path of development, Tripura on the path of progress.” The event marked a new milestone in Tripura’s political and tribal development journey.
