Minor Girl Rescued in West Agartala, Mayor Visits Hospital

Agartala, Oct 3, 2025: A minor girl named Onisha Acharya was rescued from an abandoned house in the western part of the capital. She has been admitted to GB Hospital in an ailing condition and is currently undergoing treatment there. Upon receiving the news, local MLA and current Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Deepak Majumder, visited the hospital today to check on the ailing girl. Reassuring the public, he said, “No matter who the culprit is, strict action will be taken. The law will take its own course.” The incident has created a stir in the area, and police have already launched an investigation to identify and nab the culprits.
