Large Quantity of Foreign Liquor Seized in Khowai Police Raid

NEBT News Desk, Agartala, 15th September: In yet another successful crackdown, police seized a large quantity of foreign liquor from Khowai district today. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of women police personnel and plain-clothed officers raided a house in the Mura Bari area around noon. During the operation, police recovered 60 bottles of foreign liquor of various brands. However, the house owner managed to escape before being apprehended. Police sources said the raid was conducted following secret information about illegal storage of liquor at the location. Over the past two days, police have carried out multiple operations in the district, leading to the recovery of a substantial quantity of foreign liquor. Speaking about the drive, Khowai Women’s Police Station OC Mina Debbarma said that similar operations will continue in the coming days to curb illegal liquor trade.
