Husband Allegedly Strangles Wife to Death in Amtali

Agartala, November 9: In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband in Amtali Ashrampara area on Saturday night. According to police sources, the accused, identified as Jagannath Das, allegedly strangled his wife Beauty Das to death inside their rented room at the residence of Nandita Roy in Amtali Ashrampara. On Sunday morning, a neighboring tenant first noticed the incident and immediately raised an alarm. The woman was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. It has been learned that Jagannath Das and his wife had been living in the rented house for about two years. The reason behind the tragic incident is yet to be ascertained. Police from Amtali Police Station, along with the Dog Squad and Forensic Team, reached the spot and began an investigation into the case.
