Huge Consignment of Escf and Phensedyl Seized in Sonamura

Sonamura, Oct 2, 2025: In a major crackdown on illegal drug trafficking, a joint operation was conducted from midnight till noon today under Sonamura Police Station limits in Aralia area. During the raid, a red-colored Hyundai Eon car was intercepted, and a total of 4,231 bottles of Escf and Phensedyl were recovered. The estimated black-market value of the seized contraband stands at ₹21,15,500. The vehicle, bearing registration number TR-3E-0798, was also confiscated. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Agartala Branch has registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the owner of the illegal consignment and establish the link between the seized car and the contraband. The operation was carried out jointly by Sonamura Police Station, Sepahijala District Reserve, Tripura STF, 81st Battalion BSF, NCB Agartala Branch, and 11th Battalion TSR forces.
