Heavy Rainfall Warning Issued for Parts of Tripura

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Meteorological Centre Agartala, has issued a weather forecast and warning for Wednesday, September 21, 2025. According to the IMD, Agartala and its neighboring areas will experience generally cloudy skies, with a few spells of light to moderate rain or thundershowers likely in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 34°C and 26°C, respectively. For Tripura as a whole, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places across the districts. Warning: 1. Heavy rainfall (7–11 cm) is very likely at one or two places in West Tripura, Sepahijala, Gomati, and South Tripura districts. 2. Thunderstorms with lightning are very likely at one or two places across the state. On Tuesday, Agartala recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4°C, while relative humidity remained high. Rainfall was recorded in some areas, though most stations reported nil precipitation. The IMD has advised residents to remain alert and take necessary precautions during spells of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
