Heated Discussions in Assembly: Speaker’s Health, Prime Minister’s Visit, and College Professor Recruitment Raised
NEBT News Desk, Agartala: The ongoing Tripura Assembly session on Friday turned heated with debates over several important issues. The discussion first centered on the health condition of the Principal of an Agartala college, Bishwabandhu Sen. It has been reported that his condition is now stable. In the meantime, Deputy Speaker Ramprasad Pal will carry out the responsibilities of the Speaker. During the session, the opposition raised the matter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit and the reduction in the Assembly’s session days. On this issue, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman expressed strong resentment. Meanwhile, a prolonged discussion took place between Higher Education Minister Kishore Barman and Sudip Roy Barman regarding the recruitment of college professors. At the same time, ruling party leaders Jitendra Choudhury and Ratanlal Nath also gave counter statements on the Prime Minister’s visit and the scheduling of the Assembly, which became one of the highlights of the session. According to sources, the ruling party’s ministers and MLAs provided detailed responses to each of the questions raised by the opposition.
