News Report: Agartala, July 17: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Friday reiterated the state government's commitment to making every panchayat self-reliant under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the state-level Panchayat Awards distribution ceremony held at Gram Swaraj Bhavan, State Panchayat Resource Centre in AD Nagar, the Chief Minister said that the government is dedicated to building strong villages and strong panchayats as part of its vision for a developed Tripura. He stated that the recognition received at the national level through various awards reflects the state's determination to strengthen grassroots institutions and promote good governance. According to the Chief Minister, these honours are proof that the Panchayati Raj system is functioning in the right direction and continues to enjoy the trust and confidence of the people. During the programme, the Chief Minister felicitated several panchayats in recognition of their excellence and outstanding performance in ensuring good governance and effective administration at the grassroots level. He emphasized that empowering local self-governments remains a key priority of the state government in its efforts to achieve inclusive and sustainable development across Tripura.
