Headline: Human Medicine Worth ₹7–8 Lakh Seized While Being Smuggled to Bangladesh; Vehicle Intercepted by Madhupur Police

News: Madhupur, October 31: In a major crackdown on cross-border smuggling, Madhupur police intercepted a Maruti van loaded with a large quantity of human medicines allegedly being smuggled to Bangladesh. The vehicle was seized from Anand Choumuhani area under Madhupur police station. According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) Debjit Chatterjee, the estimated market value of the seized medicines is around ₹7–8 lakh. However, the driver managed to flee from the spot before police could apprehend him. Police have launched a manhunt to trace the absconding driver and are investigating the source and intended destination of the seized consignment.
