News Report: Teliamura, July 19: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday organised thank-you rallies and public meetings across various Shakti Kendras under the 29 Krishnapur Assembly Constituency, welcoming the decision to increase the number of working days under the VB–G RAM project from 100 to 125 and to fix the daily wage at ₹300. The programme, centred around the BJP's 29 Krishnapur Mandal office at Chakmaghat, witnessed the participation of local residents, party workers, supporters and leaders from rural areas. The rally began from the Mandal office, passed through the National Highway in the Chakmaghat area and concluded at the party office. Among those present were Tribal Welfare Minister and MLA of the 29 Krishnapur Assembly Constituency, Bikash Debbarma, along with Mandal vice-president Gopal Das Sarkar, general secretary Madan Saha and several other party leaders and workers. Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted the significance of the VB–G RAM project, stating that the increase in working days and wages would strengthen employment opportunities and provide greater financial security to rural labourers. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Bikash Debbarma said that during the tenure of previous governments, people had to launch movements to avail themselves of government benefits. He claimed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has been implementing a series of welfare schemes in the interest of the people, enabling citizens to access benefits without agitation. He further stated that the extension of workdays from 100 to 125 and the increase in daily wages to ₹300 under the VB–G RAM project would greatly benefit rural workers. The minister also asserted that the BJP government has been consistently working towards the social and economic empowerment of women. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led government for the decision, the minister said the initiative would significantly improve the livelihoods of rural communities. The thank-you rallies and meetings held on Sunday generated considerable enthusiasm among party workers, supporters and local residents across different areas of the 29 Krishnapur Assembly Constituency.
