Governor Approves New State Managing Committee of Indian Red Cross Society, Tripura Branch

New Committee to Serve a Three-Year Term Under Rule 12 of IRCS Branch Committee Rules, 2017 News: Agartala, October 29, 2025: The Governor of Tripura, who also serves as the President of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Tripura State Branch, has approved the formation of the newly elected State Managing Committee for a term of three years. The approval was granted under Rule 12 of the Indian Red Cross Society Branch Committee Rules, 2017, as circulated by the National Headquarters on August 28, 2020. As per the official notification, Shri Bimal Kanti Ray, IPS (Retd.), has been appointed as Chairman, Smt. Asmita Banik as Vice-Chairman, Shri Animesh Ghosh as Treasurer, and Shri Chandan Debnath as General Secretary. The committee also includes members Shri Alok Roy, Shri Animesh Deb, Shri Gauranga Bhowmik, Shri Kanai Shil, Shri Subir Deb, Shri Biswajit Malakar, Smt. Rimpi Das, and Shri Nirmal Bardhan Roy. The notification was issued by Er. Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee, Vice President of the IRCS Tripura State Branch, on behalf of the Hon’ble Governor. Copies of the order have been forwarded to the Chief Secretary, the Secretary General of IRCS, New Delhi, and all District Branch Presidents for necessary information and further action.
