Government Allocates ₹7,149 Crore for ADC Development in 2025–26: CM Manik Saha" "BJP Government Prioritizing Janajati Welfare and Inclusive Growth, Says Chief Minister"

Agartala, October 28: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Monday announced that the state government has allocated ₹7,149 crore for the development of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) for the financial year 2025–26, reaffirming the government’s commitment to the welfare and progress of the Janajati communities. Speaking at a joining program organized by the BJP Tripura Pradesh at Simna, where 1,406 voters from 375 families joined the BJP, Dr. Saha emphasized that the government is working tirelessly to ensure holistic development across all tribal areas. “In 2024–25, about ₹6,500 crore was spent for the development of the TTAADC areas, which accounted for 39.06 percent of the total expenditure. For 2025–26, ₹7,149 crore has been allocated to further accelerate growth in these regions,” the Chief Minister said. He added that the BJP government has introduced several initiatives for the welfare of tribal communities, including increasing the honorary allowance for Janajati community leaders from ₹2,000 to ₹5,000. Additionally, blocks in tribal-dominated areas have been declared aspirational blocks to enable targeted development and greater budgetary allocation. Dr. Saha cautioned people against those attempting to divide communities along caste and tribal lines. “We must remain united to build Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura,” he said. Highlighting the commitment of the central leadership, Dr. Saha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda have always emphasized that India’s development is incomplete without the progress of the Janajatis. “The appointment of Draupadi Murmu, a representative of the Janajati community, as the President of India, and Jishnu Debbarma as the Governor of Telangana reflects the government’s inclusive vision,” Dr. Saha said. The event was attended by BJP State President and MP Rajib Bhattacharya, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, former MP Rebati Tripura, BJP State General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, Sadar Rural District President Gauranga Bhowmik, Simna Mandal President Indrajit Debbarma, Janajati Morcha Vice President Mangal Debbarma, and other senior party leaders.
