Four Arrested in Construction Site Theft Case, 62 Iron Rods Recovered

NEBT News Desk, Agartala, 15th September 2025: On September 13, a theft took place at the construction site of Ovel Engineering Ltd., located at Amtali Bypass, where a group of miscreants stole iron rods and other construction materials. Based on a complaint lodged by the company’s Safety Officer, a case was registered at Amtali Police Station. Following the investigation, the Investigating Officer, SI Sourav Saha, successfully arrested four individuals in connection with the case. During interrogation, police recovered 62 rods of 16 mm size out of the stolen 150 rods. The accused were produced before the court today, and further interrogation is expected to lead to the recovery of the remaining rods. Those arrested have been identified as Abdul Amin of Charipara Police Para, Dipankar Sutradhar of Hapania Karyamura, Debasish Dey of Bottopukur Kalitala, and Priotosh Sarkar of Pallyan Para.
