Former Militant Leader Ranjit Debbarma Remains Silent Amid Bangladesh Citizenship Controversy

Agartala: Former militant leader and current TIPRA Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma has remained silent amid allegations regarding his Bangladeshi citizenship. During his tenure as the chief of the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF), Ranjit Debbarma is reported to have stayed in Bangladesh for several years. He is alleged to have operated from a base in Chittagong, engaging in anti-India activities. Recently, several documents, including a Bangladeshi national identity card and birth certificate in his name, have surfaced, sparking widespread controversy and calls for an investigation. However, the former militant leader has yet to respond regarding the authenticity of these documents.
