Debate boost students’ confidence and skills: CM Debate expands free thinking: CM

Agartala: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that debate expands the scope of people’s free thinking, and there is much to learn from the aesthetic presentation of logic and arguments in a debate. Therefore, there is a need for debate during this period. The Chief Minister said this while inaugurating a debate organised by the Advocate Dilip Sarkar Memorial Foundation at Agartala Town Hall today. He said that such debate need to be held more frequently at the school and college levels. “As a result, courage, confidence, and speaking skills will increase among students. Through debate , knowledge of history, proper utilisation of opportunities, and evaluation of talent are achieved. There is a lot of talent among students in our state. Such debate meetings are very timely and relevant to utilise their talent,” he said. Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, the Chief Minister called upon everyone to join the work of building a ‘New Tripura’. He said that to build a Viksit Bharat, all states must become developed states, and Tripura is working towards that goal. The Chief Minister also said that the Prime Minister is highlighting the development of Tripura at various forums. Dr. Saha also praised the social work of the Advocate Dilip Sarkar Memorial Foundation. Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, Chairperson of the Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC), retired Justice Arindam Lodh, and others were present at the event.
