CM Saha Joins Cultural Event Celebrating 150 Years of ‘Vande Mataram’

‘Vande Mataram’ continues to inspire the vision of a developed India: CM Agartala, November 7: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha attended a special cultural evening at Ujjayanta Palace premises, organized as part of the year-long celebration of ‘Vande Mataram’, following the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said that ‘Vande Mataram’, the hymn of devotion to Mother India, was first published in 1875 in Banga Darshan magazine by literary luminary Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. He added that even after 150 years, the immortal song continues to serve as an unfailing source of inspiration for building a developed India. The program, organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Tripura Pradesh, was marked by vibrant cultural performances celebrating India’s patriotic and literary heritage.
