CM Meets Union Finance Minister; Seeks Enhanced EAP Ceiling and Additional Funds for Tripura

Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, met Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi today and discussed key financial matters concerning the State. During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to enhance the ceiling limit of Externally Aided Projects (EAPs), stating that several important projects under the Urban Development Department, Tourism Department, and Agartala Municipal Corporation are awaiting progress due to the existing ceiling restrictions. Dr. Saha also urged the Union Finance Minister to consider releasing additional funds to help narrow the Dearness Allowance (DA) gap between State Government employees and their Central counterparts. He expressed confidence that with the Union Government’s continued support, Tripura will be able to accelerate its development agenda and strengthen its financial stability.
