CM Inaugurates Development Projects Worth ₹207 Crore in Dhalai “A New Chapter of Development Unfolds in Tripura,” Says CM Government Focused on Holistic Growth and Quality of Life Improvement: CM

Agartala, November 13: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday inaugurated 20 development projects and laid the foundation stones for two more, worth a total of ₹207 crore, at a public program held at Manikbhandar Harachandra HS School ground in Kamalpur, Dhalai district. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha said that the state government’s prime objective is to improve the quality of life of the people by identifying and addressing the fundamental issues that matter most in public life. “One of the government’s top priorities is to ensure socio-economic development for people in both rural and urban areas,” he said. The Chief Minister noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the focus has always been on ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. Highlighting Dhalai’s importance as an aspirational district, Dr. Saha said, “Since our government came to power in 2018, special emphasis has been placed on the development of Dhalai district with active assistance from the Central Government. Several projects are being implemented to improve the district’s socio-economic conditions. Unfortunately, the opposition fails to acknowledge this progress—they see it but pretend not to.” He added that a new chapter of development is being written in Tripura’s history, with continuous efforts to enhance infrastructure and public services. Dr. Saha informed that projects inaugurated and launched today span across various departments — including Rural Development, Urban Development, Health, Education, Public Works, and National Highways. “The State Government is working for the welfare of all sections of people and is equally focused on improving their economic condition. Development is a continuous process with no end,” the Chief Minister remarked. He further elaborated that infrastructure development is being carried out across the state, including the construction of new administrative buildings, primary health centres, schools, staff quarters, bridges, market sheds, sports facilities, hostels, and Krishak Bandhu Centres. Reaffirming the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, Dr. Saha said, “Tripura is progressing with a clear vision to become a Viksit Tripura in line with the Prime Minister’s mission. The government is committed to working steadfastly toward this goal.” Mentioning Tripura’s achievements, he noted that NITI Aayog has declared the state a Front Runner in several parameters. “To ensure transparency, e-office systems have been introduced from the Cabinet level to the three-tier Panchayat system, improving efficiency and public service delivery,” he said. Dr. Saha also announced plans to open a medical college at the Dhalai District Hospital in the future, noting that the number of beds in government medical college hospitals has increased from 727 to 1,413 in recent years. Dhalai Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sushmita Das, MLAs Manoj Kanti Deb and Swapna Das Pal, Ambassa Municipal Council Chairperson Pratima Malakar, Ambassa BAC Chairman Parimal Debbarma, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
