CM Attends Inauguration of Hojagiri Panda Festival at Santirbazar

Santirbazar, October 8, 2025: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today attended the inauguration ceremony of the two-day Hojagiri Panda (Festival) at Santirbazar, celebrating the vibrant culture and traditions of the Reang (Bru) community. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Reang community has always enriched Tripura with its unique cultural heritage and identity, contributing immensely to the state’s social and cultural fabric. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare and progress of the Reang (Bru) community, recognized as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), adding that several welfare schemes are being implemented to improve their socio-economic conditions. The Hojagiri Panda Festival, known for its traditional dances, music, and community participation, aims to preserve and promote the cultural legacy of the Reang people. The event witnessed participation from artists, community leaders, and local residents in large numbers.
