BSF Seizes 72 Kg Ganja Near Indo-Bangladesh Border in Sepahijala

Agartala, November 26: The Border Security Force (BSF) troops of Tripura Frontier seized 72 kg of ganja worth Rs. 36 lakh during a special operation conducted near the Indo-Bangladesh border on Wednesday. According to an official press release from the Frontier Headquarters, BSF Salbagan, the operation was carried out by vigilant troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Patharidwar under Madhupur Police Station in Sepahijala district. Acting on specific intelligence, the personnel launched a search operation in a rubber bagan and recovered the large quantity of contraband. In separate operations across different locations, BSF personnel also seized various other contraband items valued at around Rs. 5 lakh and rescued two cattle from smugglers. The BSF has intensified its crackdown on cross-border smuggling and drug trafficking, continuing its mission to curb illegal activities along the international border.
