BSF Apprehends 3 Bangladeshi Nationals, Seizes 168 Kg Ganja in Tripura
Agartala, November 8, 2025: In a major crackdown on cross-border narcotics smuggling, the Border Security Force (BSF), Tripura, in a joint operation with PS PR Bari, seized 168 kg of ganja and apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, BSF troops along with the local police, and in the presence of the Deputy Collector and Magistrate, Belonia, conducted a house search in Uttar Awasthipara, Dakshin Krishnapur, Radhanagar under PS PR Bari in South Tripura district on November 7, 2025, resulting in the seizure of the large consignment of ganja. On the same day, BSF troops apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals from the Indian village of Megliband, Katlamura, under PS Sidhai, Mohanpur subdivision, West Tripura district, while they were attempting to exfiltrate to Bangladesh.
