BJP Mandal Office Torched; Attack on Mita Debbarma’s House Condemned by CM Manik Saha

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha strongly condemned the arson attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mandal office in Khumulwng and the assault and looting carried out at the residence of Mita Debbarma by miscreants allegedly linked to TIPRA Motha. Calling the incident “highly deplorable,” the Chief Minister stated that the culture of political violence and arson, imported from the Communists, will not be tolerated under any circumstances by the government or the party. He urged those involved in violence to abandon this anti-democratic path while there is still time, emphasizing that “no one can ever establish themselves through coercion or force.” CM Saha further asserted that the law will take its own course and strict action will be taken against all those found guilty.
