At Last, Judo Players’ Dream Comes True — All Tripura Judo Association Receives Recognition

Agartala, Oct 2025: After eight long years of struggle and waiting, the Judo Federation of India has finally granted official recognition to the All Tripura Judo Association. From September 2017 to September 2025, the association underwent a lengthy legal process, continuous correspondence, and tireless efforts, culminating in this historic achievement announced on Sunday through an official mail from the federation. This milestone success was made possible through the significant contribution of Shri Ratan Saha, Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Tripura Olympic Association. Alongside him, the current Secretary of the All Tripura Judo Association, Shri Pranab Saha, and Treasurer, Shri Pradip Sarkar, worked relentlessly over the last two years to overcome administrative hurdles and secure the long-awaited recognition. At present, the All Tripura Judo Association is led by President Smt. Antra Sarkar Deb, Secretary Shri Pranab Saha, and Treasurer Shri Pradip Sarkar. The announcement has sparked widespread joy among the judo fraternity and sports enthusiasts in the state. Players and officials now hope that with this recognition, Tripura’s judo talent will shine brighter on both national and international platforms.
