Assam Rifles Seizes Cocaine in Joint Operation in Agartala

On 17 November, during a joint operation conducted with the Customs Department in the heart of Agartala city, 800 grams of high-grade cocaine were seized. The estimated market value of the seized contraband is around ₹8 crore, making it one of the largest cocaine recoveries in the region in recent months. Acting on reliable intelligence inputs, the operation also led to the detention of two individuals involved in drug trafficking. This operation once again highlights Assam Rifles’ unwavering commitment to building a drug-free society and its continuous efforts to curb narcotics trafficking in the Northeast.
