500 Teachers Felicitated on Teachers’ Day at 18 Suryamaninagar
NEBT NEWS DESK, AGARTALA, 5th September: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, a special felicitation ceremony was organized at 18 Suryamaninagar, where nearly 500 teachers were honored with shawls, flowers, and sweets in recognition of their invaluable contributions to society. The event took place at Amtali School Community Hall with Tripura Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Shri Ram Prasad Pal as the chief guest. In his address, Shri Pal paid heartfelt tribute to the teaching community, stating, “Teachers are the true foundation of society. They are not just instructors of textbooks but guiding lights who shape the character of future generations. In times when youth face distractions and challenges, only a sincere and dedicated teacher can guide them on the right path.” He further recalled the legacy of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, in whose honor Teachers’ Day is celebrated, and reiterated his belief that “teachers are the backbone of the nation.” Shri Pal emphasized that this day is not only a formality but a pledge to uphold the dignity of teachers and promote true values in society. Highlighting the significance of the event, he added, “Though 500 teachers are being felicitated today, in reality every teacher is shaping the future of countless families. Such initiatives will surely boost their morale and inspire greater dedication.” The program was organized by the 18 Suryamaninagar Mandal Committee, which stated that the initiative aimed not only at honoring teachers but also at spreading awareness about the value of education and the role of teachers in building society. The event concluded in an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie between teachers and guests.
