10-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Pond at Tepania, Udaipur

NEBT News Desk, Agartala, 16th September: A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Tepania in Udaipur, where a 10-year-old boy, identified as Rajdeep Debnath, drowned while bathing in a pond with two of his friends. According to reports, Rajdeep along with two companions went for a bath in the pond as part of their daily routine. Suddenly, his friends could not spot him in the water. Moments later, they saw his body floating and raised an alarm. Locals rushed to the spot and immediately rescued him from the pond. Rajdeep was taken to Gomati District Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. His body has been sent to the hospital morgue for post-mortem examination, after which it will be handed over to the family. The tragic death has cast a shadow of grief over the locality, with family members and residents mourning the untimely loss.
